On June 19, the official governance page revealed that the Aave community initiated the "GHO Cross-Chain - Part 1" proposal, and the on-chain voting is now open, as of June 22. The proposal proposes a cross-chain implementation of the GHO stablecoin (the native asset of the Aave protocol), initially extending to the Arbitrum network using the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).
The proposal was split into two separate proposals, and after approval by the DAO, a second proposal (Part 2) will be issued for configuring a GHO on Arbitrum Aave Pool, using the risk parameters developed by Chaos Labs.
