Ronin, the gaming blockchain, has announced the upcoming launch of a new zkEVM in partnership with Polygon Tech, a zero-knowledge Rollup network compatible with Ethereum.
According to the press release, it will be built using Sky Mavis' modified version of the open-source Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK). By building a dedicated ZK blockchain, the Ronin network will be able to serve more users, support the rapid growth of its game studio partners, and further enhance the permissionless environment to bring more gaming experiences. Other plans include incorporating the Polygon ZK Prover directly into Ronin, providing game studios with a turnkey solution that allows them to easily build their own zkEVM blockchain on Ronin.
