CleanSpark, an American bitcoin mining company, has announced the acquisition of five bitcoin mining farms in Georgia for $25.80 million in cash, with a combined power output of 60 trillion watts (MW). The five mines acquired range in size from 8MW to 15MW, at a cost of about $430,000 per MW. CleanSpark plans to deploy its previously pre-ordered Antminer S21 Pro at these mines, which are expected to add 3.7 EH/s of computing power when fully installed.
CleanSpark is the third largest publicly traded bitcoin mining company in the United States. As of May, the company has achieved approximately 17 EH/s of hashrate and operates approximately 300 MW of mining farms in Georgia.
