Meta Traders Expect Cloud And Ray-Ban Mentions On Earnings Call

According to CNBC, traders on prediction market platform Kalshi expect Meta Platforms to use its earnings call after the market close Wednesday to highlight Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and its push into the cloud market while avoiding social media policy debates. On Kalshi's mentions market for the call, traders put a 90% chance on management saying the word "cloud" and a 74% chance on "Ray-Ban." Traders assigned a 61% chance that Meta will discuss its chips using the word "silicon," while the odds of a mention of "Hyperion," the name of its data center project in rural Louisiana, stood at 27%. Traders also gave just a 15% chance that Meta mentions "age verification" and a 20% chance that it uses the terms "prediction market" or "Kalshi." Bloomberg reported earlier this month that Meta was developing a cloud infrastructure business, and last month Meta debuted a new, lower-priced smart glasses model with Ray-Ban parent EssilorLuxottica.
