Vida said on X that it sold nearly $7 million in put options today, with most of the contracts set to expire in one month. According to Odaily, Vida said sentiment in the memory sector has nearly reached an extreme on the downside, implied volatility in memory stocks is at a historical high percentile, and AI-related demand remains unchanged. Vida said it prefers lower risk and more stable returns by selling contracts at prices that are difficult to fill rather than near the current market level, citing one-month MU 660 put options as an example. It said selling 15 contracts would immediately generate $47,000 in profit, and if MU falls below 660 in one month and the options are assigned, it would buy at $1 million.
