Tether has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Nairobi Securities Exchange to explore digital asset education, tokenization, and financial market innovation in Nairobi. According to Foresight News, the agreement aims to support the development and implementation of blockchain-based securities market infrastructure at the exchange.
The two parties plan to use distributed ledger technology for securities tokenization and instant settlement. They will also use the Hadron platform to provide fractional securities trading channels for local and overseas investors. Tether and the NSE will design and pilot a secure registration process aligned with Kenya's regulatory environment to simplify anti-money laundering and KYC procedures.
