BYD has officially entered Japan's K-Car market with the launch of the BYD RACCO, a light electric vehicle designed specifically for Japanese kei-car regulations, according to Ming Pao.
BYD Auto Japan said the model is now on sale at authorized dealers across Japan. It is BYD's first such model and the first light EV from an overseas automaker tailored to the Japanese market. The suggested retail price starts at 2.145 million yen, or about HK$102,700, and the vehicle has a maximum driving range of up to 320 km on a full charge.
