According to Lianhe Zaobao citing Reuters, U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a campaign-style speech at a General Motors facility in Michigan on Monday, less than 100 days before the November midterm elections, touting his record on investment, job creation and tax cuts while attacking Democratic opponents as "communists." Trump said jobs were rising, inflation was falling and factory utilization had reached a record high, while also addressing immigration, Iran, voting restrictions and transgender issues. General Motors declined to comment on the partisan remarks. The report said Trump has increasingly portrayed Democrats as radicals to rally Republican voters, while polls show cost of living remains the top concern for voters in Michigan and across the U.S. Reuters/Ipsos polling through Sunday found just one-third of Americans support the war with Iran, the lowest level since the five-month conflict began.
