FAA Seeks Inspection Of 453 U.S.-Registered Boeing 737 MAX Jets

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said on the 27th that it plans to require inspections of 453 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft registered in the United States to verify whether certain passenger seats are properly installed on their seat tracks. According to 36Kr, the FAA issued a draft airworthiness directive covering some Boeing 737 MAX 8, MAX 9 and MAX 8200 aircraft after receiving reports that seat components on some jets had been installed incorrectly, with rear seat latches not fully lowered and engaged with the tracks.
