Elon Musk said he plans to give away nearly his entire fortune after Nobel Prize-winning economist Daron Acemoglu challenged him to back his AI claims with money. According to BeInCrypto, Acemoglu proposed Musk donate his roughly $1 trillion fortune to charity no later than 2036, with an impartial body choosing the charities. Musk replied on X: “I am actually going to do something along these lines!” He gave no timeline, amount or charitable vehicle. Musk’s wealth has also been falling, with Forbes putting his net worth at $695.7 billion on July 27.
