Bank of Japan Says Core Inflation Gauge Stayed Above 2% in June

The Bank of Japan said on Tuesday that a price measure tracking underlying inflation remained well above its 2% target in June. According to central bank data, consumer prices excluding fresh food and special factors rose 2.7% year on year in June, while the measure excluding energy as well increased 2.0%, according to 36Kr.
