According to Jin10, Australia and New Zealand Banking Group foreign exchange strategist Kristina Clifton said the Australian dollar fell about 0.3% during the Asia trading session after Reserve Bank of Australia Chair Bullock's remarks. Clifton said Bullock left room for further rate increases if needed, but also said the economy was slowing as expected and that the full impact of previous rate hikes would take time to appear. She added that market pricing shows an about 19% chance of an August rate increase, down from about 32% before the speech.
