FIFA announced on July 21 that all 104 matches in the 2026 World Cup showed no suspicious prediction activity. According to Odaily, the Europe Council Copenhagen Group said the next day that it issued seven yellow alerts during independent monitoring and placed 15 matches under enhanced monitoring.
The yellow alert is the lowest of four levels and covers unusual odds swings, social media rumors, or source information, but it does not indicate evidence of manipulation. FIFA said the conclusion that there was no suspicious prediction activity remains its official position. The event was the first to undergo continuous monitoring of prediction markets, and Kalshi and Polymarket recorded nearly $2 billion in trading volume in final-related trading, while major platforms posted a record monthly trading volume of $44.8 billion in June.
