Franklin Templeton said on July 27 that it supports the CLARITY Act. According to Odaily, the firm said the bill would establish clearer rules for digital assets, help investors understand the protections available to them, and give businesses more certainty about the division of federal regulatory responsibilities.

Franklin Resources previously disclosed that its assets under management reached 1.79 trillion dollars as of June 30, up from 1.78 trillion dollars a month earlier. BlackRock, Fidelity Investments, Goldman Sachs, and Charles Schwab had already publicly backed the market structure bill. Senate Republicans released an updated text on July 22 that would divide digital asset oversight between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
