Jeff Currie, the former Goldman Sachs Group Inc. commodities chief, is preparing an IPO in London to raise £50 million ($67 million) for an oil producer in the Gulf of Mexico, according to Bloomberg.
Currie, whose market calls made him one of Wall Street's best-known energy strategists, is backing the startup as it seeks funding to build the producer.
