SparkKitty Malware Hits 10,000 Google Play Downloads While Scanning Seed Phrases

SparkKitty malware has reached more than 10,000 Google Play downloads while scanning photos for crypto wallet seed phrases, Check Point said. According to NS3.AI, the malware uses optical character recognition to read images on infected devices and send extracted text to attacker-controlled infrastructure. Check Point said SparkKitty has also appeared in Apple's App Store, Google Play, and third-party Android app stores.
