ST Wanbond said its wholly owned subsidiary, Wanbond Pharmaceutical Group, has received a drug registration certificate from China's National Medical Products Administration for sulpiride tablets, according to Jiemian News. The approved product is the 0.1g specification, classified as a category 3 chemical drug and deemed to have passed generic drug quality and efficacy consistency evaluation.
The company said sulpiride tablets are included in the 2025 National Medical Insurance Drug List and the 2026 National Essential Drug List. It added that the drug is a benzamide antipsychotic used to treat schizophrenia, may also help with depressive symptoms, and has antiemetic and gastric acid secretion-inhibiting effects. ST Wanbond said the approval expands its anti-psychiatric drug portfolio and strengthens its integrated active pharmaceutical ingredient-plus-formulation model, while noting that production and sales remain subject to policy and market uncertainties.
