STOCKS | Asia Shares Rise As U.S.-Iran Strikes Pause, Heng Seng Hits 1-Month High

Asia shares broadly advanced after the U.S.-Iran attacks paused, while oil prices fell and U.S. futures rose. Taiwan stocks moved against the trend, but South Korea's KOSPI reversed higher and ended up 0.97%, according to Ming Pao.

Mainland China said profits at industrial firms above designated size rose 15.1% in June from a year earlier, the slowest pace in six months. A-share gains widened in the afternoon, with the Shenzhen Composite up 2.9%, outperforming regional markets.

Changxin Technology, listed on the STAR Market under A-share code 688825, recorded turnover of RMB141.187 billion, setting a new single-day trading value record for an individual A-share. Hong Kong stocks posted their biggest rise in more than two days, with the Hang Seng Index closing at a one-month high and back above 25,000 points. Market turnover remained below HK$220 billion, southbound trading volume fell to a three-month low and its share of turnover hit a three-week low, while southbound flows also turned net outflow in the afternoon.
