Las Vegas Sands (NYSE: LVS) said in a second-quarter filing with the SEC that its Sands China unit (1928) has committed to invest at least MOP35.84 billion under its 10-year gaming concession, including MOP33.39 billion in non-gaming projects.
Ming Pao reported that, after review by the Macau government, MOP5.8 billion of investment made in 2023 and 2024 was deemed qualified investment. For the latest year to end-2025, the group has invested MOP2.52 billion under the commitment, but the amount that will ultimately count as qualified investment will still need final approval from the Macau government.
