According to Yonhap, Celltrion Inc. said its second-quarter net profit surged nearly sixfold from a year earlier as sales of newer biosimilars strengthened. Net profit for the three months ended in June rose to 371.3 billion won ($254.8 million) from 63.3 billion won a year earlier, while operating profit climbed 86.3% to 451.8 billion won and sales increased 45% to 1.39 trillion won. The company cited higher sales of Remsima SC, Steqeyma, Yuflyma and Vegzelma, along with a better product mix and improved production efficiency.

Operating profit rose 97% to 773.7 billion won and sales gained 40.7% to 2.54 trillion won. Looking ahead to 2026, the company said it is targeting operating profit of 1.8 trillion won on sales of 5.3 trillion won, supported by further biosimilar expansion in the United States and Europe. Celltrion also plans to raise the share of newer biosimilars in total sales to 70% this year from 54% last year and aims to commercialize 18 biosimilars by 2030 and 41 by 2038.
