Ethereum staking protocol Lido said its stETH Rebase was completed as expected today, and it restored the ETH rewards that were missed yesterday because of an undercalculation. The annualized yield, or APR, was about 2.29%, and the protocol’s oracle has been updated and audited.
According to Odaily, Lido said the new version will speed up report processing and help identify the cause more quickly if a similar issue occurs in the future. The protocol also said contributors are still analyzing the root cause of yesterday’s reward calculation issue.
Lido said user funds were not at risk during the incident. It added that its initial assessment suggests the problem may have stemmed from a special edge case in which a validator in pending deposit status was omitted from yesterday’s reward report, causing some staking rewards not to be included in the calculation.
Lido said a full post-mortem report will be released in the coming days with more details on the cause, the fix, and follow-up improvements.
