Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said he does not agree with the view that Ethereum is being eroded by Layer 2 networks. According to Odaily, he wrote on X that while Layer 2 networks are also bringing tens of millions of real-world users into on-chain ecosystems, Ethereum mainnet is further consolidating its position as the main economic settlement center.
Lee said the Fast Confirmation mechanism can reduce transfer friction by about 98%. He added that Ethereum is likely to become the most widely used settlement layer for finance and AI agents, and said, "ETH is on-chain money."
