Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance preliminary data shows Bitcoin mining electricity use rose 38% to about 190 TWh. According to NS3.AI, low-carbon energy accounted for 59.4% of the total, while hydropower overtook natural gas as the largest single energy source.
