Three iOS users have filed a lawsuit against Apple in a California federal court, saying they lost about 1,800,000 dollars in bitcoin after downloading counterfeit Sparrow Wallet apps from the App Store between May and August 2025. According to Odaily, the complaint says Apple often took little or no action after victims reported the fraud, and other fake Sparrow apps remained on the App Store.
Sparrow Wallet developer Craig Raw publicly criticized Apple for a slow response to multiple counterfeit versions in the App Store and for not removing the fake apps promptly.
