On July 24, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang posted on social media and shared a letter titled "Open Weights and American AI Leadership," calling for the development of open-weight artificial intelligence models. According to Jin10, the original letter had 25 signatories, and the list has since doubled to 50, with OpenAI, Google, AMD, Cisco, Cloudflare, GitHub, Block and Ollama among the 25 additions. Anthropic and Amazon were not included in any version of the list.
