According to Yonhap, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung said Saturday that South Korea and the United States should broaden their partnership beyond the longstanding security alliance to cover technology, innovation and startups. Speaking at a meeting in San Francisco with venture capitalists investing in Silicon Valley, Lee said combining U.S. venture capital networks and South Korea's technology and manufacturing strengths could produce new global innovators such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix.
