Kpler has pushed its expectation for a reopening of the Strait of Hormuz into 2027, raising the risk of sustained higher oil prices. According to BeInCrypto, Kpler director of commodity research Matt Smith said there is no endgame in sight after five months of conflict, while flows through the strait have slowed and US strikes on Iranian targets continue. Smith also said Brent has risen about 40% and refined fuels are under greater pressure.
