According to market sources, Kpler said vessel traffic across two key Middle East sea lanes diverged on July 23, with traffic through the Strait of Hormuz falling sharply while traffic through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait rose. Kpler data showed six vessels passed through the Strait of Hormuz on July 23, down 60% from the previous day, while 49 vessels transited the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, including four ships that sailed dark with automatic identification systems turned off.
