据《联合早报》援引法新社报道，联合国人权事务高级专员沃尔克·图尔克星期五（7月24日）在日内瓦呼吁中东冲突各方紧急采取行动，协助滞留在霍尔木兹海峡的约6000名海员安全撤离上岸，并确保关键物资运送。
《联合国新闻》引述国际海事组织最新通报称，自7月12日至13日敌对行动重启以来，针对船只的袭击再次发生，目前“实际上几乎没有船只”穿越这条狭窄水道。国际海事组织秘书长多明格斯说，仍有约500艘停泊在波斯湾后方的船只上载有6000名海员，他对他们深表关切，并强调海员在全球贸易中至关重要，若没有他们，90%的船运货物将无法抵达目的地。
