Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (0388) said it has adopted all proposals from the first-round consultation concluded in March on enhancing the competitiveness of its listing regime, according to Ming Pao.
The proposals included lowering the listing threshold for weighted voting rights structures, allowing all listing applicants to file in confidence, and revising the so-called sponsor disclosure arrangement to require the identities of relevant professional parties to be made public when an application is returned. Some proposals were slightly modified, and the related rules will take effect immediately after the document is published.
