Chalco said on July 24 that its controlling shareholder, China Aluminium Group and its concert parties, plan to increase holdings in the company’s A shares and H shares through the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Hong Kong Stock Exchange systems by no less than 1 billion yuan and no more than 2 billion yuan, according to Jiemian News. The planned purchases will not exceed 2% of Chalco’s total share capital and will run for up to 12 months from the date the buyback-style accumulation plan was disclosed, using the buyer’s own funds or self-raised capital.
China Aluminium Group has also reached a cooperation intention with the Beijing branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and received a loan commitment letter on July 22, 2026. The bank said it will provide loan support of up to 1.8 billion yuan for the share purchase, with a term of no more than three years, and the funds will be used exclusively for China Aluminium Group’s A-share purchases, according to Jiemian News.
