CSRC Publishes 2026 Broker Classification Results: 53 A-Grade Firms

China's Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has released its 2026 classification results for securities firms, with 106 entities assessed in total. Of those, 44 subsidiaries were consolidated into their parent companies' evaluations, leaving 53 firms in Category A, 42 in Category B and 11 in Category C; 14 of the Category A firms were rated AA, according to Jiemian News. A person familiar with the regulator said the CSRC will next focus on explaining the 2026 broker classification work, including through special training for local securities regulators and industry institutions on the policy direction and evaluation standards, while also tracking implementation results and adjusting evaluation indicators and standards as market conditions change.
