China Life disclosed on July 20 that eight single-account asset management plans under the company sold about 1.1097 million GigaDevice shares on July 8, raising about 682 million yuan at an average price of 611.46 yuan to 624.61 yuan per share. GigaDevice had touched a second-quarter high of 846.66 yuan per share, and at midday on July 24 it traded at 447.00 yuan per share, more than 40% below that peak. A China Life executive said on July 24 that the company's stock managers' increases or cuts in individual second-market holdings are routine investment actions based on portfolio allocation needs, according to 36Kr.
