Hana Financial Group Q2 Net Profit Rises 1.8% to 1.19 Trillion Won

According to Yonhap, Hana Financial Group reported second-quarter net profit of 1.19 trillion won (US$823 million), up 1.8% from a year earlier, as higher interest and non-interest income boosted results. The figure missed the 1.24 trillion won average estimate from analysts surveyed by Yonhap Infomax. Operating profit rose to 1.59 trillion won from 1.49 trillion won a year earlier, while revenue increased 13.7% to 27.25 trillion won. For the first six months of the year, net profit climbed 4.4% to 2.43 trillion won. Hana Bank, the group's flagship unit, posted second-quarter net profit of 1.32 trillion won, down 4.4% from a year earlier.
