Zama founder Rand said on X that the company has launched Confidential RFQ, a confidential request-for-quote protocol. According to Odaily, the protocol is now live in private beta on the Ethereum mainnet and is expected to be publicly released in September, with multi-chain support planned later.
The protocol is based on the ERC-7984 confidential token standard and uses sealed-bid auctions that allow professional market makers to compete to fill crypto trades while hiding trade size, direction, and asset type. Zama said 100% of swap fees will be used to buy back and burn ZAMA tokens, with no front-end fee.
Zama said large on-chain trades are still routed through over-the-counter transactions or dark pools because they need to avoid exposing trading strategies.
