UNODC estimated that fraud crimes in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand caused losses of $88.3 billion–$114.1 billion in 2025. According to NS3.AI, the report said a significant portion of those losses was tied to crypto investment scams and romance scams operating from industrial parks.
