Fidelity International London eurozone economist Conor Parle said the European Central Bank kept rates unchanged at today's meeting, but the pause is likely temporary. According to Jin10, Parle said that, with rising commodity prices and the latest escalation in tensions in the Middle East, the ECB may be in a better position after updating its economic forecasts in September to raise rates by another 25 basis points to the upper end of the neutral range and send a clear signal that it remains committed to price stability.
