India-based Wipro Consumer Care International said it signed a definitive agreement today to acquire all the shares of Philippine personal care company S Brands Consumer Care Inc. in a full takeover, according to Ming Pao.
Wipro Consumer Care International Chief Operating Officer for business and East Asia regional president Nagender Arya said the group aims to further expand its hair care business and develop the Hong Kong, China and Greater Bay Area markets. He said the acquisition would help strengthen and expand the company’s hair care operations, including its leading Philippine hair care brand KERATINplus.
