SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won’s divorce case with ex-wife Roh Soh-yeong is set for a ruling on Friday by an appellate court panel over how to divide about $5 billion in assets, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The focus is whether the property split should use the latest asset valuations boosted by the AI investment boom. Since early last year, SK Hynix shares have surged about ninefold, lifting Chey’s personal net worth by more than 100%.
