Singapore Exchange and MSCI have reached a new agreement to deepen their cooperation. According to Jin10, Singapore Exchange executives said the exchange will work with MSCI to add as many as 100 futures and options contracts tied to its indexes, covering developed and emerging markets as well as major sector indexes including utilities, industrials, energy, and financials. Singapore Exchange Chief Executive said market participants are increasingly focused on markets beyond a single region, noting that this is not only about countries or regions but also about sectors, and that the exchange is expanding contracts across Asian countries, products, and asset classes.
