China Says Consumer Trade-In Policy Lifted Sales Above 1.25 Trillion Yuan

On July 23, Yang Mu, director of the Department of Market Operation and Consumption Promotion at China's Ministry of Commerce, said at a State Council Information Office briefing that this year's consumer trade-in policy has helped stabilize the market. According to 36Kr, each yuan of government funding now leverages 10.3 yuan in sales, up from 7.8 yuan last year. The program has generated more than 1.25 trillion yuan in sales and benefited 169 million people, while supporting steady consumption growth, industrial upgrading, and resource recycling.
