According to Jin10, Kristoffer Kjaer Lomholt, head of fixed income and FX research at Danske Bank, said market attention to government bond yields, such as the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield, is rising. He said the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield is currently above 5% and is becoming more persistent, while escalation in the Middle East, Houthi attacks on two Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea, and Brent crude nearing $100 a barrel have added inflation pressure ahead of next week's Federal Open Market Committee meeting. At the time of writing, the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield was up 0.3 basis points at 5.150%, near a two-month high.
