Two peer-reviewed anti-aging studies from Chung-Ang University in Seoul and the University of Osaka have fueled viral claims that humans could live to 250, but the research does not support that. According to BeInCrypto, the Korean study tested IU1 in flies and lab-grown human cells, while the Osaka team found that lowering AP2A1 made old cells behave more like young ones in human skin and breast cells. The article also says crypto and tech backers have poured money into longevity research, with the global anti-aging market at about $85 billion in 2025 and longevity startups raising about $3.7 billion in early 2026.
