Galaxy Digital pledged up to $5 million on July 21 to support efforts aimed at preparing Bitcoin for quantum computing risks. According to NS3.AI, the initiative will fund developers, research, proposal reviews, audits, and migration tools.
Galaxy said coordinating a Bitcoin response could take years and would require participation from developers, miners, node operators, wallets, exchanges, custodians, and users.
