According to Jin10, Axios, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that Roman Gofman, the new chief of Israel's Mossad, visited Washington two weeks ago and held talks with U.S. officials on the Israel-Iran war and Iran's nuclear program. It was Gofman's first visit to the U.S. since taking office in June, and he met with CIA Director John Ratcliffe and White House officials to coordinate with the White House on talks over a Iran nuclear deal. People familiar with the matter said Ratcliffe had been skeptical in U.S. President Donald Trump's inner circle about a U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding, believing Iran might interpret the agreement's terms differently from the U.S., including provisions involving the Strait of Hormuz.
