Eurozone government bond yields opened slightly higher as oil prices rose. According to Jin10, Brent crude gained 2% to $92.85 a barrel as Middle East conflict continued, while euro area government bond yields rose modestly.
The UK's overall inflation rate for June eased to 2.6% from 2.8% in May, below analysts' expectation of 2.7%, with little immediate impact. The 10-year German government bond yield rose 1.6 basis points intraday to 3.180%.
