PLabs has launched pERC20, a new EVM-based privacy token standard built on the Zcash Orchard protocol. The project says the standard is designed to make EVM a privacy protocol center. According to Foresight News, its native token P20 is the asset under the standard, with balances and transfer details hidden on-chain.
P20 is used for ecosystem liquidity, fee settlement, and governance. ERC20 assets can enter the system through a Shield mechanism and interact with P20, but P20 does not yet support Unshield back to ERC20.
P20 has a total supply of 1 billion tokens and will be distributed only through a genesis airdrop and protocol incentives, with no pre-mint or private sale. The initial circulating supply from the airdrop is capped at 8% of total supply, while incentives make up the larger share. The default token allocation is 80% for users and 20% for the team and ecosystem fund, with phased halvings in distribution.
