Commerzbank: UK Inflation Data Will Shape Bond Market Moves as Oil Prices Stay in Focus
2026-07-22 06:03:50
According to Jin10, Commerzbank interest rate strategist Hauke Siemssen said expected slower UK inflation data should set the tone for the bond market this morning, while oil prices remain dominant. He said Brent crude has risen back to $92 a barrel as strikes between the United States and Iran continue and Houthi threats to Red Sea shipping persist, pushing the market into a bearish move. Siemssen added that if this morning's UK inflation data shows a decline, it could bring a more moderate market tone.
