Mitsubishi Electric and Sony Semiconductor Solutions have signed a final agreement to establish a joint venture called Advanced Vision Solutions to provide AI vision sensor solutions for manufacturing automation, according to Jiemian News. The company is planned to start operations in October 2026 and still needs regulatory approval. Mitsubishi Electric will hold 60% of the venture, while Sony Semiconductor Solutions will hold the remaining 40%.
