Senate Republicans Warm To Third Reconciliation Bill For Pentagon Replenishment

President Donald Trump is pressing House Republicans to back the budget resolution this week, while Office of Management and Budget Director Russ Vought is set to try to win support at the Republican conference on Tuesday. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is scheduled to testify before the Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday on the administration's supplemental funding request, which includes tens of billions of dollars to replace munitions used in Iran. The White House has also sent spending anomalies to appropriators as Congress weighs a short-term continuing resolution ahead of an Oct. 1 funding deadline.
